“…Full a too much stylin…”
Personal style is about a sense of yourself, a sense of what you believe in and wearing what you like.

I’ve always been interested in fashion and style. Throughout my teenage years , I went through several “phases” and spent countless hours pouring over fashion magazines and watching reruns of “What Not to Wear”.
A few years ago I completed a Developing Your Personal Style + Signature Course being offered by one of my favourite style bloggers , The Daileigh. The assignments were issued on a weekly basis and most of them involved some introspection as they required a closer look into my closet , the outfits that I was attracted to and the pieces that go into creating the looks.
One of the #StyleGoals assignments involved pulling a few choice outfits from my Pinterest style inspiration board , analysing the outfit and labelling the look. The labels that appeared the most often were “creative classic” and “casually elegant”. Both of which involved classic pieces usually in neutral colours blended with bold prints , colours and accessories. It’s quite interesting to note that even years later, I would still define my style that way. “Creative Classic” does have a great ring to it, doesn’t it?
In addition to the completing course, I’ve been using The Daileigh’s Wardrobe Foundation book as a basis for my wardrobe. It’s a comprehensive compilation of key pieces and outfit ideas that has really changed the way I shop and my approach to my wardrobe.
Do you think “personal style” is just about clothing or do you think it extends to other areas of your life?
