#PureChocolate

Happy Valentine’s Day! If there is one thing I love…it’s an experience that involves food. As someone who genuinely considers food one of my love languages and is deeply interested in the process of making food, I truly enjoy an experience that involves me making something and learning something new.

Chocolate and Valentine’s Day are almost synonymous so of course it had me thinking about my making chocolate. Though I am not the biggest chocoholic, I jumped at the opportunity to do Pure Chocolate’s Chocolate Making Class and it was such a wonderful experience. Despite their usual class requirement, they accomodated me for my birthday and made the experience so special. The session was intimate and very hands-on and was so ably led by the team.

I was able to learn the art of making a proper caramel, the correct technique for melting chocolate, the process for making bon bons and of course…making chocolate bars.

I left the class full from all the chocolate we sampled and with enough chocolate to last me a few months. I would recommend this as a fun experience to do with a group of friends or even alone. I actually started the day walking through a cocoa farm so the class was almost a full circle moment. If you want to see bits and pieces of that, check out my video recap.
