Simply Vital - A Review

As an aspiring skincare influencer , cough cough , I often purchase and receive different skincare products for testing and review. I have a pretty robust skincare routine and I love trying out new things and changing up my routine and discovering new products. I do have to keep in mind that I have sensitive skin and given my experience with skincare, not every product will work for you but…if you don’t try you will never know.

A few weeks ago, Simply Vital gifted me their their new Acne Face Cream. Simply Vital as a brand focuses on natural, vegan and cruelty-free products which is something I appreciate especially in the nutrition and skincare space.

The Acne Face Cream’s main active ingredient is Salicylic Acid which is proven to treat acne and help prevent breakouts. The cream also contains aloe vera gel, sunflower oil and glycerin which are ingredients that in my experience are good for hydration. The cream was lightly scented with lemongrass and peppermint oil but not overwhelmingly so and had a good consistency and melted into my skin easily. My skin is acne prone so I was very excited to test it out as I had been having a few breakouts that I would have loved to clear up, but after testing it out for a few days I realised that my face was a bit too sensitive for the formulation and wasn’t responding as well as I expected.

I still wanted to give the product a fair chance so I decided to test it out on my back and some other places on my body that suffer from breakouts and I feel like I have definitely seen some improvement in the pimples in those areas and I have been including it in my body care routine and plan to continue with that.

I think this product would be good for someone with less sensitive skin who has a penchant for natural skincare and wants a simple but effective addition to their routine. I think it’s also worth checking out Simply Vital’s other product offerings which include a variety of supplements, both in liquid and capsule form. I know that I definitely want to give their Liquid Probiotic Drops a try.

How often do you test new products? Have you ever “re-purposed” skincare items? How did that work out?

Be good to yourself and others,
