Once Upon a Hair Vitamin.

Last year I decided that I was going to grow out my hair (again). I had been keeping it pretty low for the past couple years and I wanted the versatility that having a bit more length would offer. cue the optimism I however didn’t expect the panoramic and the lack of energy I would have to maintain this hair growth journey…cue the sad music.

I have however managed to avoid the constant urge to cut my hair (it’s been hard)….and I have really been allowing it to just grow. It’s currently at that awkward stage where it can’t hold under any of my baseball hats but also not long enough for the curls to lay the way I want them to without getting them professionally styled and because of the aforementioned lack of energy..my hair is just chilling for the most part but I promise that I am going to work on low manipulations styles. Stay tuned.

My hair growth journey has however received some help in the form of hair vitamins from Edge Naturale. I have been using their Follicle Enhancer to help with my edges and regrowing the shaved sides of my tapered cut and they were kind enough to send me a bottle of their new Hair Vitamins to give my journey a boost.

The Hair Vitamins are chock full of Biotin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Vitamin B-6 as well as a proprietary blend Grape Seed, Goji Berry and Amla Fruit extracts . The Hair Vitamins come in a one month supply bottle of sixty (60) tablets and two (2) tablet should be taken per day with food. I’ll admit that I may have taken a little bit more than a month to finish my bottle but I was only maybe a week out.

The main ingredient in the Hair Vitamins is Biotin which is a part of the vitamin B family. Biotin plays an important part in the health of hair, nails and skin and can be found in bananas, nuts and whole grains which are thankfully still a part of my diet (my body has been rejecting a lot of foods over the past year so…yeah) but having an extra boost of biotin can’t hurt and in addition to the biotin, the vitamins also provide vitamin C which builds collagen and aids in hair growth and strengthening as well as vitamin E which can aid in maintaining the health of your skin.

So needless to say, these vitamins have got a lot going on for them, and were a great addition to my routine supplements. These vitamins can be purchased on the Edge Naturale site and if you are interested in trying them out, they are currently offering a 20% discount code so try to cop that.

My nails which I had to cut because I broke two of them..have also been reaping the benefits as those nails have grown out considerably and have caught up with their sisters. I sadly didn’t do a formal length check before I started taking them but I have gotten comments from those closest to me that my hair is noticeably growing, and my trips to the barber to line up my tapered cut have actually been closer together than usual so I guess that’s also saying something.

I took these photos when my hair was particularly poppin so peep the growth from my last hair feature and I think it’s safe to say that defined curls are currently my go-to style.
